Year 1 bird spotting
As part of our Science topic we are looking at animals, this week we were looking at birds. We looked at their features like feathers and beaks, we then went on a walk in our local area to see if we could spot any of the birds from our bird spotting sheet.
Year 1 Forest school
Year 1 have had a really fun time at forest school, they learnt some rules of forest school and got to explore some of the forsest school areas. The children enjoyed building dens, climbing trees and helping each other up and down the big hills!

Year 6 Living Things Science Walk
Year 6 went on a walk through the woods with ipads to see what living things they could find. Whilst on the search, the children were very excited to find 2 squirrels chasing each other up a tree, a millipede just hanging around and some fungi too!

Year 6 wore their jeans to school to raise awareness and money for children with genetic disorders.
Uplevelling Vocabulary
Year 4 were introduced to their new text type. Next week, we are going to be writing a free verse poem based of Vesuvius in Pompeii in 79AD. Today we learnt some new vocabularly for our poems. We explored their definitions and created some word art to represent the words' meanings.

New playground
Our playground has been finished so we have enjoyed exploring our new environment. We have played on the bikes and scooters, climbed on the climbing frame, run up and down the hill, read books in the tepee and balanced along the new trim trail.
Recounts and Tension
