Year 6 Homework

Year 6 Activity Week - Day 4 One Adventure Day
Today was Day 4 of Acitivity Week and we were visited by the One Adventure Crew who led us in a full day of differnt activities including:
- Football darts (a new favourite of ours)
- Axe throwing (yes with real axes)
- Archery
- 3D spiders web
- Nightline in the woods
- Survival…
Year 6 Activity Week Day 3 - Baking and decorating cakes followed by a picnic
Day 3 has consisted of baking cakes and decorating them. We then enjoyed a shared picnic together where we ate lunch and enjoyed the fruits of our labour.
We certainly have some very artistic Year 6 children!

Year 6 Activity Week - Day 2 - Inflatables
Day 2 was our annual visit from an inflatable company. It was so much fun and we got 3 goes on everything - bouncy castle, obstacle course and laserquest.
I'm not sure who had more fun though - staff or children.

Year 6 Activity Week - Day 1 - Bowling
A fun time was had by all at bowling yesterday. Activity Week has certainly begun.
It'll be a busy and tiring week but all good fun.

History Van visit
Today, Year 6 had a visit from the History Van.
The children thought they were arriving in school in 2022 this morning but in fact, they were taken back in time to 1940 and it was in the middle of WW2.

Sports' Day fun for Year 6
For the first time in a long time, Sports' Day went off on the first original day as planned.
The children all ran in the egg and spoon race, sack, space hopper, wheelbarrow, 3-legged and running relay.
The children all collected points for their House Teams and this was collated at the end…
Young Voices
We took the choir to Young Voices. The children loved having the opportunity to sing at the Manchester Arena with another 9000 children.
What an experience!
Year 6 post SAT Treat
Friday the 13th May was teh day after SATs and so Year 6 enjoyed a carousel of different activities.
We spent the morning sewing, drawing and taking photographs. It was a fanatasic end to a complex week.
Year 6 Jubilee Week
Before the holidays, Year 6 enjpoyed many different activities to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee for the Queen.
