What an amazing first half term.  Everyone has worked so hard, that Mrs Thornburn awarded us with an own clothes day and a certificate to display in the window.  

Well done to 2 Maple's Great Citizen Award winner. Our winner is a pleasure to teach, always looks out for his friends and adults alike, and displays our Dowson PACT values everyday.

We have learnt so many facts about the Great Fire of London, and this week we completed some paintings of what London looked like during this time.

What a beautiful day to investigate where invertebrates in our playground, and on our wild side live, ie on leaves or under logs.

Today we went on a walk on our wild side looking for invertebrates and their microhabitats.

This term our topic is the Great Fire of London and we extended our knowledge by visiting Staircase House museum, where we participated in acting out the historic event, creating our own fire marks and wattle and daub walls.
