Class of 2027

Year 1 have nearly finished for the summer, they have had a fabulous time in Year 1. We are going to miss them all, have a lovely, safe summer everyone and we'll see you in September!

During our dance lessons, year one have been practising a dance routine to a Spice Girls song for a few weeks. We used pompoms and performed our dance on the stage for the teachers in Year one! They were all amazing dance stars!!

Year 1 enjoyed a very sunny Sports Day. They took part in lots of team races and had lots of fun!

Year 1 got to use their senses during our carousell of activities. We used our noses to smell, hands to touch, eyes to see and our ears to listen.

Year 1 looked at the Artist L.S Lowry, they then tried to copy one of his paintings called 'Portrait of Ann'. We used different art media oil pastels, chalk, coloured pencils and charcoal pencils. The children did really well and created some very good portraits.

We have been in the ICT suite this week, we have been practicing our mouse skills by moving shapes on the monitor using the mouse to create a picture. We then used our keyboard skills to write some sentences.
