Year 1 - Art
For our Art project we are going to design a Koinoburi kite from Japan. This week we began to look at colours and patterns and we created a mood board to gather ideas for our design.
Year 1 - Finding a quarter of a number
During Maths we have been finding what a quarter of a shape, quantity and number is. We used 2 different methods to find out these. We used the 'chop and chop' again method and the sharing method.

Year 1 are becoming authors and are going to re-write the story from our English text from what we have read so far.We have created a story map to help us with our writing.

In Maths this week we have been learning how to divide amounts equally into different groups. We used cubes to help us. We got the whole amount and then shared them equally between the groups. We were able to solve division questions using this method.
