Can't beat a bit a sieving!
As part of investigating separating materals, we all got busy sieving. We found it the best way of separating cubes and rice and rice and flour. Although we did also find that adding water to to the cubes and rice worked as the cubes floated and the rice sunk.

Changing variables in dissolving
We were back dissolving today. However, this time we were changing variables such as water temerature and volume to see if this had an effect on the dissolving. The hotter the temperature the quicker the dissolving takes place

We investigated which substances dissolved in water. We made it a fair test by only changing one variable - the substance. The next step is to investigate what changes we can add to alter the process
The Elves and the Shoe Makers
