Year 5 have had a fantastic time dressing up and learning about the 60s for Decades Day.

After researching in our expert groups, we shared our knowledge with our jigsaw groups and then finished by completing a brain dump on the 70's. 

Year 4 worked in expert groups to research the 70's. We explored fashion, music, key events and inventions/toys.

Today Year 4 learnt all about Queen Elizabeth II through dual coding

Reception have loved our Jubilee preparation so far. We have created bunting, painted portraits of the queen, learnt how to draw guards, designed and made crowns and tiaras, dressed up in the role play castle and created a tea party in our outdoor learning. We cannot wait for our real tea party on…

Our butterflies are starting to come out of their chrysalis and begin to flutter. Hopefully soon be ready to fly in the wild.

Congratulations to the cricket team who won the Tameside Cheshire Cricket Tournament this afternoon. The final was on a knife edge withy both teams scoring 68, taking 6 wickets and hitting 8 boundaries each. This resulted in a bowl off with us edging it 2 wickets to 1.

Last week, we practised our number formation. We used lots of different ways to draw the numbers: chalk, whiteboards, felt tip pens. Everybody gave it their best shot. Well done Nursery

To finish off our pirate topic in Reception the children have practised and performed a pirate song! We hope you enjoy it! Arrrrrr!

We have been in the ICT suite this week, we have been practicing our mouse skills by moving shapes on the monitor using the mouse to create a picture. We then used our keyboard skills to write some sentences.
