Today was Day 4 of Acitivity Week and we were visited by the One Adventure Crew who led us in a full day of differnt activities including:

- Football darts (a new favourite of ours)

- Axe throwing (yes with real axes)

- Archery

- 3D spiders web

- Nightline in the woods

- Survival…

Year 4 have been creating a range of algorithms on Light Bot Hour. Once they have created their algorithm, they have tested it to check for any bugs. Year one went on a nature walk. We looked at different trees and identified the main parts (trunk, leaves, branches and roots). We used a tree identification sheet to help us to spot and name the different trees. We also looked for different plants and flowers using the identification sheet. We…

During our dance lessons, year one have been practising a dance routine to a Spice Girls song for a few weeks. We used pompoms and performed our dance on the stage for the teachers in Year one! They were all amazing dance stars!!

Today we used water colours and pastels to create pictures in the theme of our artist of this term Joan Milo.

Day 3 has consisted of baking cakes and decorating them.  We then enjoyed a shared picnic together where we ate lunch and enjoyed the fruits of our labour.

We certainly have some very artistic Year 6 children!

Congratulations to the year 5 football team who won 3 - 0 away at Flowery Field this evening. Some excellent football played and represented the academy in the best possible way. Well done lads. 

Day 2 was our annual visit from an inflatable company.  It was so much fun and we got 3 goes on everything - bouncy castle, obstacle course and laserquest.

I'm not sure who had more fun though - staff or children.

More fun tomorrow with baking and picnic.

A fun time was had by all at bowling yesterday.  Activity Week has certainly begun.

It'll be a busy and tiring week but all good fun.

We represented Kenya at the recent Commonwealth Games athletic competition at Alder. Well done to the children on achieving 1st place and as ever for the way they represented the academy.
