Tameside Cheshire Cricket Champions
Congratulations to the cricket team who won the Tameside Cheshire Cricket Tournament this afternoon. The final was on a knife edge withy both teams scoring 68, taking 6 wickets and hitting 8 boundaries each. This resulted in a bowl off with us edging it 2 wickets to 1.

Boys Football
This evening the boys lost 2 - 4 to Inspire Ashton in hard fought and close game. This ends our Heywood Cup run for this year. Well done to Inspire for a deserved victory and to both teams for a good game played in the correct spirit.
Basketball Team
Well done to the basketball team for representing the academy at the Tameside finals this evening . Unfortunately, drawing one game and losing the other was not enough to see us out of the group stage. Great effort by the children though and as ever, represented the academy in the best possible…
Girls' Football
Well done to the girls who won their cup game 7 - 0 this evening. Well played girls and thank you for representing the academy in such a great way. Thank you.
Basketball Team
Congratulations to the basketball team who qualified for the Tameside finals next week. Great effort and sporting behaviour by the team who played 6 games tonight - winning 5.
Let's hope for similar in the finals.

Volleyball Team
Well done to the volleyball team for all their efforts in tonight's competition. We won 1 drew 1 and lost 2. Great representatives of the academy. Well done and thank you.
Football team back after winter break
The team returned to Heywood Cup action with a 5 2 victory away at Hollingworth. Well played boys for playing well and represented the academy in the correct manner.
Cross Country Return
A welcome break in the weather meant we could restart cross country at dinnertime. The children enjoyed a spin round the track although there were a few muddy trainers and legs!
